INTRODUCTION
KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB is unlike any other eFed or eWretling experience. With a unique storytelling style, set in a world where the 1950s to 1970s are now in the modern day. Our characters are unique, original and fully authentic.
Originally born as a Blog with updates posted on Twitter, KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB gained a cult following with many handlers wanting their characters to join the world where wrestling, is not just a sport, it’s part of the fabric of the nation.
It is hard to compare KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB to any modern-day promotion, it is certainly not WWE, AEW or NJPW. We are more like a British World of Sport Wrestling with a mix of modern-day CMLL, 90’s AJPW and 70’s St Louis Wrestling.
Are we Roleplay or Angle, board, twitter or discourse? I have no idea. We are about contributing and telling stories. If you have time for a 400+ word roleplay every week or two weeks, that’s great. I don’t. If you want to write a short house show report or a 150-word article for Ring Sport, then that’s great too.
Please have a look around, you won’t be disappointed.

PROLOGUE
KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB was set up by HARRY LINACRE and FRED FOREMAN the uncle and nephew owners of regional building contractors. They saw an opportunity to revisit what had been done in 1946 when the original Admiral-Lord Mountevans rules were agreed to legitimise professional wrestling in the British Empire.
After much lobbying, it was agreed that they would own the license through HRH Sport to be recognised as the official national and commonwealth governing body of the Admiral-Lord Mountevans and Professional Wrestling.
HARRY LINACRE and FRED FOREMAN were passionate about presenting a realistic and athletic form of professional wrestling, that was made famous in the 1960’s era of World of Sport.
While the rules were updated to appear more international, such as one fall match without rounds, the Admiral-Lord Mountevans Committee do administer several different championships over different weight limits.
EDWIN LUNTLEY was appointed matchmaker with the former referee overseeing the recruitment of talent, negotiations with foreign booking offices and booking of events and television contests.
SIR SOLOMON SIMPSON KC the Chair of the Admiral-Lord Mountevans Committee, the independent body that represents the Crown and Commonwealth when it comes to the governance of the laws of the ring, its Championships and reputation.
Controversy hit KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB when EDWIN LUNTLEY arranged a Man v Women match to feature on the FA CUP FINAL LIVE TV SPECIAL! one of the biggest days of the sporting calendar. The Media and TV Executives were furious that the match took place and was broadcast forcing the 'On The Mat' to be canceled. EDWIN LUNTLEY would reappear later in Africa where he tried to get professional wrestling off the ground in Zimbabwe but he he struggled with bureaucracy and financial challenges.
But now in 2024, KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB is set to return after HARRY LINACRE and FRED FOREMAN agreed one last push to bring British wrestling back to our television screens!
TELEVISION & EVENTS
KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB has a small fortnightly television show ‘On The Mat’ that is syndicated around the world, it shows clips of matches as well as features interviews and profiles. Due to television time limitations, these shows may at times only feature two or even three matches. Unfortunately, these shows are often aired late at night, and on small television stations across the globe.
Television reports are then produced and distributed to various media channels.
KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB holds a number of live events each month. These are sporadic and depend on venue and athlete availability. Live Event reports are then produced and distributed to various media channels. These are similar to the sports results you see in a newspaper.

HOW DOES IT WORK
‘On The Mat’ TV is a fortnightly show, you will most likely not be booked on every show. This is how our stories move forward and all major happenings occur on these shows.
The ‘Live Events’ are to keep things active, allow us to have fun and will be more sporadic, as our tours or side shows in ‘The Commonwealth’
How Do I Roleplay:
There are three ways you can roleplay if you wish.
Write an article for Ringsport Magazine which typically comes out ahead of a show. This can be a profile piece, letters page, or interview. As long as it would fit in the style of an ‘in character’ wrestling magazine.
The second way is to post a Flash. This can be written in any form you wish.
Please try and keep everything below 400 words. If you wish to write more than that, consider a second or ninth character.
