KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB Secretary CAPTAIN ARTHUR SANDBROOK has given his Matchmaker EDWIN LUNTLEY reason to smile by adding eight new wrestlers to the promotions stables.
"Returning to television has given us an added impetus to ensure we have the best talent available for our venues," Captain Sandbrook said.
"These seven gentlemen are a mixture of highly rated domestic competitors and international talent, not only are we lucky enough to see them on our bills up and down the country, but many will also appear 'On The Mat' in people's loungerooms up and down the country.
"A special mention to Barry Bridges, who will be a name recognisable to many wrestling enthusiasts as the Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion, indeed he will defend that championship in the Pacific in a few weeks. I know fans are already writing in asking when we'll see him back on our shores and let me tell you - it won't be long!"
