By Alan Portz
A look at one of the most acclaimed referees in our sport - Mr D. Hutchison.
Hutchinson, Devonte
Sagittarius
Devonte Hutchinson, or "Devonte the Barber" as he’s known, referees for a in Great Britain and Europe, he used to work as a scrap metal merchant. Now, he manages a few acres of farmland and spends his free time breaking horses and ponies for showing. Superstitious about walking under ladders, Devonte is an enthusiastic but not always accurate marksman and has a household filled with five dogs, six cats, and one bird. He speaks Romany fluently, and his greatest ambition is to see his two youngest children compete at The Royal International Horse Show. BANNED STAR RETURNS TO TV RANKS
Once ruled so rough he was banished from televised wrestling for fifteen years, Tony ‘Strangler’ Lewis has returned from the independent wrestling scene after being given a lifeline by Matchmaker Edwin Luntley and will take part in the upcoming International Wrestle Express, FA Cup Final Live Special and World Championship Challenge tours.
Heavyweight Lewis will make his debut teaming with longtime partner and British Lightweight Champion Jackie Joyce against Leon Van Zandt and another returning seasoned campaigner ‘Gentleman’ Jim Barnes in Derby.
Single matches will follow against Samir Pande in Tooting and Jim Barnes (Aberdeen).
Lewis was finally tossed off TV after a series of unruly matches which saw TV Producers lay down the law to promoters wishing to feature him on the small screen.

6 - Up Next

On The Mat returns on 14 September with not one but two Championship matches with both the European Lightweight Title & Belt and British Heavyweight Title & Belt on the line.
We'll also see a star studded Tag Match in this epic six match card.
In the pacific on 16 & 17 September we'll also see a number of familiar faces including the return of Barry Bridges when he puts his Commonwealth Heavyweight Title on the line.

******************
I hope everyone has enjoyed this loop of live events, RINGSPORT MAGAZINE and On The Mat. I never thought we'd have so much interest in such a short amount of time so thank you everyone for getting involved.
I have made a few changes to the boards - hopefully this will make things a bit simpler to find the information you require. I've basically split the 'Shows' board into an 'Events' and 'Results'. Please note the Live Event cards will be included the Upcoming Shows Thread while the Television Shows and 'One Off Specials' get their own thread.
I have also changed how we lay out the main cards, I was trying to replicate an old programme but it was hard for some people to understand which match they were in, hopefully this makes it easier.
As always please reach out if you have a question and keep promoting the work we're all doing, it's been to see our growth so far.
Thanks
Chris

3 - Super Star Of The Week
******************
After each Television show, I'll put together the top three superstars of the week based off matches, angles, flashes, RINGSPORT MAGAZINE submissions.
***
METALLICA PANTHER II
A great night for an unsung member of the Metallica Panther dynasty as he is able to claim the Worlds Heavy-Middleweight Championship in a one night tournament. But how will he cope now he has a target on his back?
***
GAVIN OWNES
Not just going toe to tow with British Heavyweight Champion Gavin Owens but also getting the win has quickly become of the most talked about sporting events of the week. Owens now has the chance of a rematch with the Title & Belt also on the line!
***
JOHNNY FRESNO
With his legion of young fans, Fesno continues to be one of the true superstars of the sport. Picking up a win in a six man match against the World Trios Champions could well see a rematch in the future but first he must contend himself with a chance to become the next European Lightweight Champion.
