An abandoned factory, dimly lit by flickering overhead lights. There’s a thick, almost eerie silence broken only by the sound of dripping water from the cracked ceiling. Suddenly, the heavy sound of footsteps echoes through the cavernous space, and the camera pans to reveal the Village Green Preservation Society—Ray Quaife and Mickey Davies—standing next to a pile of old crates. Quaife cracks his knuckles, his expression as focused as ever, while Mickey Davies paces back and forth with an excited energy.
Mickey Davies:
Look at this place, Ray! It's like a haunted house, but without the ghosts.
Ray Quaife:
Not even a ghost could scare me tonight, Mickey. Not with the Black Country Boys in our way.
Ray pulls the hood of his tracksuit down and adjusts his wrist tape, preparing for battle. He looks up, his gaze hardening.
Ray Quaife:
We’ve been fighting for something bigger than just wins. We fight for history. For tradition. Tonight, we’re going to show the Black Country Boys what it means to represent the Village Green.
Mickey Davies:
History? We’re not just bringing history, mate. We’re bringing a storm! The Boys may be tough, but they’ve never faced a duo like us. I’ve got a trick or two up my sleeve, and you’ve got that powerbomb ready to lay them out!
Ray smirks and cracks his neck, his confidence unshakable.
Ray Quaife:
The Boys want to play dirty, they can try. But we’ll meet them at their own game. I’ve got a few suplexes that’ll make them wish they’d stayed home tonight.
Mickey stops pacing and looks directly into the camera with a determined look.
Mickey Davies:
Ray’s right. We don’t just throw punches. We throw piledrivers, suplexes, and most importantly, we throw everything we’ve got to keep the Green alive! The Black Country Boys? They’re in for a rude awakening.
The camera cuts to show the pair in front of an old, rusty conveyor belt, the abandoned factory setting giving an even darker, more intense vibe to the scene.
Ray Quaife:
They can expect nothing less than a fight for the ages. And when the dust settles, we’ll be the ones standing tall. This is the Village Green’s time.
Mickey Davies:
(laughs and throws a fist into the air)
On November 10th, The Village Green Preservation Society’s got one thing to say to the Black Country Boys: Welcome to the End of the Line.
Ray turns to face Mickey, nodding, before both men walk toward the camera, fists raised in unity. The screen fades to black.
Ray Quaife (voiceover):
We fight for the right cause. For every corner of the village. For every fan. Tonight, we’re not just fighting for us… we’re fighting for all of them.
Mickey Davies (voiceover):
And we're gonna make it count.
