Emmett Askey:
“Well, well, well… the Village Green Preservation Society. A name so quaint, it sounds more like a pub down the road than a pair of opponents for the Black Country Boys. But here we are, set to face these so-called ‘classic British hardmen’ in what’s supposed to be a non-title match—because, let’s be honest, no one thinks they’re worthy of a shot at our titles.
Now, I’ll admit, I respect tradition. I respect grit, and yes, I’ll even respect that they’ve managed to cling to some relevance in this business. But this isn’t a friendly Sunday afternoon at the local, lads. No, this is a chance for the world to see what Doyle and Gallagher do to anyone who steps in the ring with them. And if you think for one second that they’ll be pulling their punches because those titles aren’t on the line, then you don’t understand what drives the Black Country Boys.
Johnny Doyle:
“These ‘hardmen’ want to claim they know what it means to be tough? To be fighters? They want to pretend they can stand toe-to-toe with us? They’ve got another thing comin’. We’re not here to play around with lads who look like they’ve walked off the set of some dated film about the ‘good ol’ days.’ This is our turf. The West Midlands hard way, and we don’t do things halfway.”
Ricky Gallagher:
“Preservation Society? You’ll be the ones preservin’ your faces in plaster when we’re done with you! The only thing you’re going to preserve after this is a memory of how you got absolutely battered by the best tag team in the world. You lot may be used to little scraps, but you’re about to face a war, and we’re the ones built to win it.”
Emmett Askey:
“Consider this your only warning, Village Green Preservation Society. There’s no nostalgia, no classic British grit that will stand a chance against the unstoppable force of the Black Country Boys. You’re not stepping into a ring—you’re stepping into a minefield. And after Doyle and Gallagher show you what real wrestling looks like, you’ll be wondering why you ever laced up your boots in the first place.
So polish up those last-second memories, gentlemen. Because after the Black Country Boys tear through you, the only thing you’ll be preserving is a bruised ego and a few broken bones. And remember, the titles may not be on the line, but your dignity? That’s about to get absolutely destroyed.”
Askey grins wickedly as Doyle and Gallagher step forward, cracking their knuckles, before the scene fades to black.
