The Curious Case of Mr. Rumble: America’s Masked Grappler in England
Step into The Sunken Pig, a smoky, charming pub in the heart of London, and you might just find yourself sitting next to a legend—though you might not know it right away. Sporting a bright yellow and black mask, Mr. Rumble is as mysterious as he is memorable. This masked marvel, fresh from the American wrestling circuits, has found a second home here in jolly old England, where he’s earned quite the reputation outside the ring.
A man of refined yet hearty tastes, Mr. Rumble is rarely seen without a pint of The Bishop's Ballbag, his favourite local ale, in hand. “He’s got a right thirst on him, that one,” says Chris McGuinness, landlord of The Sunken Pig. “Comes in full mask and all, orders a pint like he’s just part of the furniture. Quite the character!” And when it comes to his pork scratchings, Mr. Rumble insists, “Nothing pairs like a packet of those scratchings,” laughs McGuinness. “He’d probably wrestle a pig if it meant fresh scratchings!”
Currently sidelined with a sprained neck (no doubt a souvenir from the ring), Mr. Rumble is expected back in action soon. Until then, you’ll still catch him here, pint in hand, keeping the locals entertained at his favourite pub.

ON THE MAT III [/b]
[1] Metallica Panther I, Metallica Panther II and Metallica Panther III © beat Jimmy, John Murphy & Les Allen to retain the World Trios Championships and Belts (Metallica Panther III submitted Jimmy Murphy with the Cristo Metallica in 23:16 with 4:10 shown – first defence).
(Taped Saturday 4 April at Wolverhampton Civic Hall)
Metallica Panther II and Les Allen are in the ring as we join the action, both appear to be getting back to their feet after slugging it out. Allen grabs Panther for a snap suplex but its blocked and Allen is thrown towards Panthers’ corner.
Metallica Panther I is tagged in and Allen is taken apart with kicks to the body before a big slam and cover. John Murphy breaks it up which brings in Metallica Panther III and the two spill to the outside with fists flying.
It looks like Allen is down and out, but as Metallica Panther I attempt to pull Allen to his feet he is rolled up with a small package for a two and three quarters. Many fans – Dougie Wright included thought the match was over.
Allen ducks a right hand, hits a head but of his own and tags in Jimmy Murphy who heads straight to the top rope for a big cross body block but is caught in mid air and dropped down for a Powerslam. Metallica Panther I stumbles back losing his balance allowing his brother Metallica Panther III to tag in and the World Lightweight Champion crosses the legs of Murphy and locks him in a front face look to submit his opponent with the Cristo Metallica for the victory.

Thank you all for another fantastic fortnight of hard work!
We've got two massive shows on the horizon, featuring nearly our entire available roster in action. I’m confident this will get the boards buzzing and draw even more well-deserved attention to our incredible world.
Mark your calendars for a special TV event on 23/11: Glitter In Their Eyes. This all non-male showcase will spotlight the amazing talent and depth within our division. The excitement continues the very next day with Out For The Count, where we’re aiming to ensure as many of our roster as possible are in action.
Over the next week I am going to update the Handbook and some other areas of the boards, please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Keep spreading the word, and as always, feel free to reach out with any questions.
Best,
Chris

3 - Super Star Of The Week
******************
After each Television show, I'll put together the top three superstars of the week based off matches, angles, flashes, RINGSPORT MAGAZINE submissions.
***
Tiger Kid
Winning the first Beat The Clock Knockout Match against a much larger opponent is no easy task. The Lightweight must have eyes on Jack Sherry and his Worlds Lightweight Championship but will a battle with European Champion Johnny Fresno be a more likely contest?
***
Bulldog Spirit & Gavin Owens
When a British Champion and World Champion combine forces you know that the action will be unmatched. In a contest against a tricky opposition the pair not only picked up the win but probably unearthed future singles opponents.
***
Thaïs Empristikí
They showed true wrestling skill and determination to see off three other competitors and be crowned the Number 1 contender for the International Frauen-berufsringer Championship. In a division ready to explode can Empristikí be the one to lead the revolution?
