The KING GEORGE VI WRESTLING CLUB has confirmed that the Ladies' Wrestling Champion of the World, Taylor Connors, will no longer be appearing at its events.
Secretary, Captain Arthur Sandbrook, thanked Ms Connors for her efforts and acknowledged that an administrative error had occurred prior to her previous tag match, when she teamed with Penelope Kaplan in a losing effort to Jillian Jenna Walker and Thaïs Empristiki, the official result of the match has been changed to a No-Contest.
“We strive for the very best with all of our shows, live events, and publications. We fell short of these standards and have apologised to Ms Connors. Unfortunately, it has now been agreed that we part ways for the foreseeable future,” Sandbrook said.
As Ms Connors is a current World Champion, Chair of the Admiral-Lord Mountevans Committee, Solomon Simpson KC, said:
“We acknowledge the King George VI Wrestling Club's communication regarding Ms Connors. Although the King George VI Wrestling Club is a licensed promoter of the Admiral-Lord Mountevans Committee, they do not have jurisdiction over the Championship. The Committee therefore legally and duly confirms that Taylor Connors is the current Ladies' Wrestling Champion of the World and free to defend the Championship as she sees fit.”
The cards for ‘On The Mat XII’ and ‘Out For The Count’ on The Super Channel will be amended in the coming days, with matchmaker Edwin Luntley set to confirm new match-ups.
