We are in Barry Bridges' cosy living room. He’s lounging on a comfortable sofa with his dog, Kendo, a lively spaniel, resting beside him. The room is filled with wrestling memorabilia and photos from his career.
Bridges: Just me and me mate Kendo, having a right chill before the big match. Losing the Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship to Half-Nelson McGrath hurt, but it’s only fired me up more to get back in that ring. He leans forward, his expression turning serious.
Bridges:Teaming up with Gavin Owens is a cracking opportunity. We’re both proper passionate about this sport and ready to show those young lads what it really means to be a heavyweight. McGrath and Geoff Hammill might think they’ve got the upper hand, but they’ve got another thing coming. Experience counts, and I’ve got plenty of it.
Barry tosses a toy for Kendo, who eagerly fetches it back.
Bridges: Just like Kendo knows how to fetch, I know how to dish out a mean Bridge Drop and a Flying Knee Drop. With Gavin by my side, we’ll show everyone that the old guard isn’t done yet.
He gives his dog a firm pat, determination returning to his face.
Bridges: So listen up, McGrath and Hammill—you better be ready! We’re coming for you, and I won’t let my age or setbacks hold me back. This is my time to shine again!
The camera fades out, the sound of Kendo’s joyful barking echoing in the background.
